Icecrown Citadel is Here....Posted by SilkgirlDecember 14, 2009 at 4:47 am
Dec. 12/09
A couple fun shots from all-guild raids this week... Firstly we started working on Icecrown Citadel last night and continued briefly tonight as well. We not only had a good time but 5 guildies also walked away with new gear. :) Gratz all! The second raid pic is from a fun all-guild run of Obsidian Sanctum 25 with 20 members to get them the Less is More achievement. Other than that, we've been hanging out and doing the new heroics together and other groups as we feel like it. Been a pretty good week! :) Guild News, Nov. 15/09Posted by SilkgirlNovember 15, 2009 at 3:28 pmNovember 15/09 Guild News Guild Guidelines & Policies We want to remind all members that it is your responsibility to inform yourself on our guidelines and policies. You can do this by looking at the "Get to Know the Guild" section of the Forum. There you will find guidelines on what you can withdraw from guild bank, guidelines related to pugging, etc. More content will be added as far as raids so please check back frequently. Druids & Shamans for the Guild I'm very pleased to report that our druids and shamans project is working out very nicely. Before we were seriously short of druids and shamans in the guild but thanks to dedicated members who were willing to level a shaman or druid for the guild we now have quite a few more and in a short period of time should have a good number who are able to start raiding with us! :) Raid News Since the last issue of guild news, we now have a Dedicated rank in guild to reward those members who attend progression raids frequently and/or contribute to the raid team frequently (ex. raid flasks, or expensive mats needed for the raid team.) If you are not yet in this rank then please just keep attending progression raids (if you don't get a spot on a particular night but make yourself available on standby for the evening you get same credit) and contributing mats and before long you will also be promoted to this rank. Dedicated rank members get some priority on loot in progression raids only but even so those without the rank are also getting gear in the raids so don't be dissuaded! ;) As always members are requested to save our progression raid for guild unless cleared otherwise with the GM or an Officer. We will also be starting to try to do Onyxia 10 and VOA 10 weekly as a guild. Those 2 raids are not required to be kept for guild if you wish to pug but most of us do like going with guildies when we can.... Raiders are being asked to please put effort into gearing up, paticularly healers and tanks, in order to enable us to run some of the higher level raids soon as a guild. To that end, all members are encouraged to pug any raids except our progression raid (make sure you have read our policy on unfriendly guilds before you pug -- see "Getting to Know the Guild section in Forums.) You might also want to hold onto Ony 10 and VOA 10 since we are going to start trying to do that together on a weekly basis but those two are optional. There will soon be a contest going on that we hope to get our raiders involved in. The contest will award a guild raid team with special gaming headphones worth $150 each. Stay tuned to your mail for more details when the contest starts! Full Roster & Class Mentors Well despite 3 cullings of the roster to remove a total of about 100 inactive members, even so we are nearly 300 players strong. Of those 300, almost half are alts so we have about 155 actual people calling our guild home. We thank all the dedicated members. Since we haven't been advertising in some time, most new members are purely by word of mouth from satisfied members. We thank them for the referrals. :) We have established some class/role mentors to assist members as well. We will be adding to their ranks as we have the opportunity to speak to more members. Right now they are as below: Justynn (aka Rizzu) -- Priests (Disc/Holy) and Resto Druids Goldstone & Deil (aka Kahunna) -- Hunters Exciting Guild Developments in Cataclysm Lastly, we want to mention how excited we are about the upcoming changes to guilds in Cataclysm. Guilds that are active and work together will be rewarded by being able to "level" their guild and purchase talents in a talent tree that will benefit all members... example, cheaper repairs for all! Guild hopping, which has been an across-the-board problem up till now should be seriously reduced as it costs members to hop from guild to guild. We've been watching the benefits for guilds under the new system and their members and the bottomline is that players will want to be in an active, stable guild. Since we have been established for 15 months and stronger than ever before, we believe we are poised to be succesful under the new system. For more details, there is a 3 part video from BlizzCon that explains how guild will be changing.... see the 1st below and then follow the links from there to watch the 2 following that.... | ||||
